The NCES is a membership based nonprofit organization primarily focused on encouraging academic research and professional development. Our members represent a diversity of academic degrees, professions, background, and interests. The common bond we share is a passion for insects.

The NCES brings together student, amateur, and professional entomologists through meetings, networking, and Members Only activities. Together we provide education and community outreach to the public through participation in special events such as Bugfest and Darwin Day at the NCMNS and an annual Moth Night at Prairie Ridge Ecostation, both in Raleigh.
